Kaylee loved spending time with family and watching her favorite movie, "Cars," over the holidays. Thank you for helping this little girl fight cancer.
She's a fighter, that's for sure.
For the last nine months, Kaylee Weaver has been battling cancer. You may have seen her picture in our last newsletter or letter.
Doctors found a tumor wrapped around her kidneys last April, and after having surgery to remove it, Kaylee was diagnosed with stage three neuroblastoma – a scary diagnosis for such a little girl.
After enduring months of treatment, Kaylee is doing incredibly well after receiving a stem cell transplant at ACH late last year.
Kaylee’s mom, Jamie, reports that over the holidays, Kaylee was her healthy, active self. She played with her younger brother, enjoyed spending time with family and watched her favorite movie, “Cars.”
She will continue to visit the hospital for the next few months to receive antibody treatments, ensuring her body continues to fight this terrible disease.
Thank you for everything you do to help ACH patients have a healthier future. You are such an important part of treating patients like Kaylee, and we couldn't do it without you.
